I don’t know if you are still there, in that hazy urban forest. All the buildings gradually disappear on the horizon line in the far distance. They float in the air, gleaming in the sky. They might exist, or might not exist.
The idea of this piece is to show a mirage-liked effect that is caused by dust or mist in the air in the city landscape and I call it “mirage phenomenon.” This work is not just showing the concept of the mirage phenomenon. There is also an implication on this piece presenting an idea that what we can see and reach might not always as seen. For example, what we might not be able or have not yet reached, does not mean they are non-existent, and vice versa.
