2014/ clay, glaze
The intention of this piece is to define the edge, the boundary between the physical world and the virtual reality, and to examine how people position themselves in between the physical world and the virtual reality. The wall structure in this piece acts as the boundary that separates reality and the virtual reality, and tentacles are as a symbol for humanity. Inside of the wall, part of tentacles (humanity) are connected and attached to the centre piece that represents the heart of humanity, however, part of tentacles outside of the wall have no connection. Through this piece, I would like to address a fact that people seem so connected in the virtual reality but disconnected in the physical world.
